LLZ Ranch is the headquarters for my outdoor life nurturing prairie wildflowers and growing organic vegetables. It’s also the catalyst for many of my poems and essays. It was my home base for forty years when I’ve commuted twenty-five miles round trip, to the county seat, for my job. I retired from full time work as 2018 drew to a close and began a part-time private mental health practice with a colleague. The ranch continues to be home base and I get to spend more time at home now. I’ve been lucky to have traveled to other parts of the world in the past and hope to do so again in the future.
How wonderful to have a home surrounded by the beauty of nature!
